The Artisan Merchants was born from a love of hand-crafted ornaments and decorations. We have visited many craft fairs and Christmas markets in the UK and Europe, and met many like-minded people who love traditional craftsmanship and well-designed items.
Each piece is selected to showcase quality craftsmanship and the ethical use of materials, standing above the standard mass-produced items available.

A great morning spent at the Garden House with James and Ben ( and pup!) Very interesting and informative, working individually but with guidance at every step and a lovely terrarium to take home. Coffee and cake from the Garden House café was delightful and the opportunity to walk around the garden after the session rounded the morning off.

My wife and I enjoyed a fun couple of hours learning to make the kokedamas. Got our hands dirty, came away with a couple of lovely plants that are still alive three weeks later. Had an nice cream tea after.
Instructions were well paced, clear and easy to follow, yet informative. I would be happy to try making a kokedama at home.
A warm and welcoming session with lots of pointers to create our own terrarium to take home. Information about after care too. All the equipment and resources to plant the terrarium were provided along with detailed instructions about how to do so. Lovely cake and drinks included but I would suggest this would be best offered at the start of the session instead of breaking half way through. My friend and I had travelled a long distance to attend and were gasping! Perhaps others had driven a couple of hours too. An enjoyable exercise and it’s still alive (at the moment!)
